Lucas Allyn Gonzales

     Lucas Allyn Gonzales passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 9, 2023. Lucas was born March 15, 1999 in New Orleans, LA to Sharon and Richard Gonzales III. Like so many, Lucas’ family was displaced by hurricane Katrina and relocated to Colyell, LA (in Livingston Parish) where Lucas spent most of his life. Recently Lucas relocated to Nashville, TN where he was living at the time of his death. To know Lucas was to love him. He had a big heart, and he never met an enemy. He would go out of his way to help someone in distress, person and animal alike. Whether it was singing in the shower, attending Mardi Gras parades, playing video games, or talking about movies (he especially loved the Marvel Universe), Lucas lived life with his whole self. His gentle soul and fervor for life will be greatly missed by all who knew him. 
     Lucas is survived by his mother, Sharon Gonzales of New Orleans, LA; his father, Richard Gonzales III of Gonzales, LA; his brother, Benjamin Gonzales of Metairie, LA; his grandfather Allyn Lambert of Poplarville, MS; his grandparents Richard Gonzales Jr. and Willie Ann Gonzales of Gonzales, LA; his aunt Celeste Lambert-Sheffield (Sarah) of New Orleans, LA; his uncle Robert Gonzales of Waterford, NY; his uncle Terry Lee Pixley Sr.; his godmother Cheryl of Baton Rouge, LA; many great-aunts, great-uncles, and cousins. Lucas was preceded in death by his uncle and godfather, Christopher Lambert; his grandmother, Catherine Lambert; and many beloved pets including Frances and Pup-Pup.
     Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Visitation at Tharp Sontheimer Tharp, 1600 N. Causeway Blvd., Metairie, LA 70002 beginning at 12:30 PM followed be a Service at 2:00 PM. Interment will be private.
