Kenneth "Kenny" Raymond Bordelon, Sr. passed away peacefully on September 25, 2023 at the age of 84. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on June 26, 1939 to the late August Bordelon and Dora "Dear" Bordelon. Survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Juanita Bordelon. Devoted father of Kenneth Bordelon Jr. and Peggi Bordelon. Proud grandfather of Bailey Bordelon, Christian Bordelon and Caitlin Cartozzo. Brother of the late Donald Bordelon. Cousin to Kevin Hester, the late Keith Hester, Jerry Esteve and Richard Esteve. He was loved and will be deeply missed by his many nieces and nephews.
Kenny was a devoted family man who cherished his wife and loved being surrounded by his family and friends. He was known for his kind and generous nature, was quick with a smile or joke and found joy in helping others.
Kenny was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School. Attended Tulane University before embarking on a successful career at Louisiana Gas Service (Atmos Energy) beginning in 1962 and retiring as Superintendent of Construction in 1992. He took great pride in his work and was dedicated to his profession. He also served in the Coast Guard Reserves from 1958 to 1966.
Kenny enjoyed fishing and crabbing at his camp on Lake Hermitage and his granddaughter would say his favorite hobby was mowing his lawn. He always had a building or renovation project in the works and also looked forward to his weekly trips to the casino.
We would like to express our gratitude to daughter-in-law, Lisa Bordelon and brother-in-law, Warren Elmer for their unwavering support during this difficult time.
Kenneth Raymond Bordelon Sr. will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His kindness, generosity, and joyful spirit will be forever cherished by those who were fortunate enough to know him. Although our hearts are filled with sorrow, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of love, family and friends. May he rest in eternal peace.
