Joyce Widofsky

Joyce Goodwin Widofsky passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, June 9, 2018. She was 80 years old. Beloved wife of Bernard Widofsky of over 58 years. Loving mother of Edward James Widofsky (Macola). Grandmother of Elijah Widofsky, Asher Widofsky, and Zorah Widofsky. Daughter of the late Marcus and Jeanie Tettenman Goodwin. Joyce was a native of Los Angeles and a graduate of Mills College in Oakland, California. Upon graduation, Joyce worked as a chemist for Dow Chemical. She moved to the New Orleans area with her beloved Bernard in 1964. Joyce was a longtime congregant of Touro Synagogue and an avid volunteer in the New Orleans community. She devoted her life to caring and loving her husband, son, and grandchildren, and will be extraordinarily missed. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Touro Synagogue or a charity of your choice. Relative and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at TOURO SYNAGOGUE, 4238 St. Charles Avenue, New Orleans, on Thursday afternoon, June 14, 2018 at 1:00.
