JOYCE M CUMMINGS

Joyce Uzee Cummings, age 91 years old, a resident of Metairie, Louisiana for the past 60 years, passed away on June 13, 2018. Sister of Frank J. Uzee, Jr. and the late Francis Uzee. Beloved wife of the late Frank L. Cummings, Jr. Mother of Jeffry J. Cummings and the late Frank L. Cummings III. Mother-in-law of Donella Santucci Cummings.
Grandmother of Jeffry H. Cummings / wife Samantha Rose Cummings, Frank IV, Greg and David Cummings / wife Denise Cummings. Great-grandmother of Frank V and Audrey Rose Cummings (Joyce’s little girl).
Sister- in- law of Rosemary T. Uzee and the late Lorraine M. Uzee.
Adored by her nephews and nieces.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing and cooking and cherished time spent with her family and friends. She cared for her late parents who lived with her until their death, the late Frank and Alida Uzee.
Her pride and joy was her family, who she dedicated her life to. She loved to make people laugh and often said that she lived a really good life!
She was caring and kind and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral services and Mass were held at Tharp- Sontheimer- Tharp on June 21, 2018.
