Harriet Seidler Junker

Harriet Seidler Junker, age 84, of Kenner, passed away on August 29, 2023. Harriet was born on August 2, 1939 to parents, Harry August Seidler and Sadie Sauviac Seidler. Wife of the late Milton H. Junker, Sr. Harriet “Mawmaw” Junker was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She devoted her life to the care of her family and others through her in-home daycare. She had a profound impact on everyone she met, as everyone was always welcome in her home. Her wonderful cooking was enjoyed by all as she never let anyone in the neighborhood go hungry. She is survived by her three children, Milton H. Junker, Jr. (Anita), Paul E. Junker, Jessica J. Melder (Ron), five grandchildren, Milton H. Junker, III (Christina), Raechal A. Junker, Sarah E. Melder, Kyle Y. Melder and Kurt Y. Melder, five great grandchildren, Arianna R. Hammons, Milton H. Junker, IV, Alexander R. Junker, Isaac M. Melder, and Cylus S. Melder and sister, Patricia S. Welp.
Family and friends are invited to attend the Visitation on Friday, September 1, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Tharp Funeral Home, 1600 N. Causeway Blvd, Metairie, LA 70001. Followed by a Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m. Interment at Carrollton Cemetery. Flowers will be received by the family or donations may be made to your favorite charity in her honor.
