Gail B Strickland

Gail Boihem Strickland. 82 years of age, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2022 at East Jefferson General Hospital. She was surrounded by her loved ones during her last hours of life. 

Gail was born on September 27, 1939 in New Orleans, LA to the late Claude Boihem Sr. and Agatha Boihem. She was a sister to the late Claude Boihem Jr, the late Elroy Boihem, the late Burton “Ray” Boihem and the late Bobby Boihem. She married the late Warren Strickland on September 15, 1957 in Harrison County, MS. 
She enjoyed cooking, gardening and going to Ship Island with her husband to collect sea shells. 
She is survived by her daughter, Jan Strickland Schoolmeyer (Adam). Her three grandchildren Dustin Schoolmeyer (Jenni), Mitchell Schoolmeyer (Amanda) and Lindsay Barousse (Anthony). And three great grandchildren William James-Schoolmeyer, Cambree Barousse and Brinlee Barousse. 
A Memorial Service will be held at Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp Funeral Home, 160 N. Causeway Blvd., Metairie, LA 70001 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm with a short Mass after on August 3, 2022. Please wear colorful attire and no flowers.
