Frank (Wiggs) P. Von Hoven, Sr. passed away on January 12, 2019. Beloved husband of the late Lorraine Hebert Von Hoven (birdlegs). Father of Frank P Von Hoven, Jr. (Jan) and Marie Von Hoven Abadie (Danny). Grandfather of Frank P. Von Hoven, III (Camille), Daniel and Christopher Abadie. Step grandfather of Cory James (Amanda) and Kristen James. Step great-grandfather of Addison James. Wiggs was a parishioner of St. Henry’s Catholic Church, was in charge of the CYO, was a WWII Veteran, worked at American Standard 45 years (from open to close) and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He also was a pitcher for all the Uptown leagues and had the opportunity to be accepted by the semi pro (Pelicans). Wiggs main hobby was donating to all horse racetracks and casinos. We ask everyone to come and tell Wiggs goodbye and (per his request come very casual). Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Henry’s Catholic Church, 812 General Pershing St., New Orleans on Friday, January 18, 2019 at 12:00 noon with visitation beginning at 10:00 am.
