Dianne Rabb Lapuyade passed away peacefully in the early morning of November 28th 2023. She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and was an 81 year resident of Metairie. She was one of three girls born to Louis Rabb and Audrey Cellos Rabb. A loving sister to the late Sandra (Sanny) Rabb Davis & Jacqueline (Aunt Gee) Rabb Pohlman.
She was a devoted wife of 59 years to the late Sidney Louis Lapuyade III. They had two children Sidney Louis Lapuyade IV (formerly married to Toni Bernard, who took care of Dianne in her final months as if she were her own mother) and Marynell Lapuyade Piglia (Tony). Dianne had four grandchildren she cherished, Francesca Lapuyade Schomaker (Chad), William Joseph Piglia III, Evan Anthony Piglia, and Sydney Nora Piglia.
Dianne was a woman of deep faith & a devout Catholic. She served the adoration chapel weekly at St. Catherine of Siena where she was a parishioner, regularly attended mass, and received all holy sacraments. She was an avid collector of antiques & vintage finds, which is where she met some of her dear lifelong friends. She enjoyed worldwide travel with Sidney, family, & many friends. She was always quick to say yes to a girl’s trip to New York City where many memories were made. Dianne will be missed by many.
Friends are invited to attend the Memorial Services at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 105 Bonnabel Blvd, Metairie, LA, on Monday December 11th 2023. Visitation will begin at 10:00am followed by Mass at 12:00pm. Inurnment will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers please make donations to St. Catherine of Siena church, with a note in the memo for the adoration chapel.
