Carolyn Neville Scanlan

In the early morning hours of Thursday September 15, 2022, on the Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows, our mother took her final breath. Caroline Neville Scanlan was born on November 25, 1928 to Arthur J. and Wenonah Stewart Neville. She was preceded in death by her siblings John Stewart Neville, AJ Neville Jr and Patricia Montegut. She is also preceded by her loving husband of 71 years Joseph I. Scanlan Sr. She is survived by her 5 children Kathy Scanlan Falcone (Danny), Barbara Scanlan Roth (Randy), Peggy Scanlan Walton (Mark), Jay Scanlan Jr, John Thomas Scanlan (Jennifer), 10 grandchildren and multiple great-grandchildren. We would like to thank the staff of Serenity Senior Residence for the care and kindness that was shown to our mother in her final weeks and to Ron Oleksik, her devoted Eucharistic Minister, for his weekly uplifting visits.
Visitation will be from 9am to 10am on Saturday, September 17, 2022 followed by a Mass of Christian burial at the Tharp Sontheimer Tharp Funeral Home, 1600 N. Causeway Blvd Metairie, LA 70001. In lieu of flowers memorial masses or donations can be made to EWTN 5817 Old Leeds Rd Irondale, AL 35210.
